Do you know how to make a sundae? Well if you don't, then her's on way.  First take a bowl you have scrubbed a lot.  Put some ice cream in the bowl.  Then put chocolate, and caramel, and strawberry syrup on top.  Then put some gummy bears on top.  Then add cool whipping cream.  Grab a spoon from the cupboard.  The go to the table and ask your mom for a place-mat.  Don't forget to put the sprinkles on!  After that, ask your mom if you can eat it. How Malcolm and Evan Made a Snowman - By Malcolm F. Grade One

One wet, cold, snowy day, Evan and I decided to make a snowman.  We would use Smarties for the eyes and buttons for the nose.  The I went inside to get a scarf for his neck.  We had all of the equipment for the snowman.  Now we made the snowballs.  I made the head, Evan made the tummy and then my mom came to help us.  She did the bottom snowball.  Our snowman lasted for a long time and then he melted away.

The Happy Groundhog - by Kaeli C. Grade One

One day there was a happy groundhog name Will.  He was sleeping in his bed because it was winter.  He just woke up from his bed and he saw that it was February 1st.  Tomorrow was the 2nd of February, and that was Groundhog Day.  The next day, people were all around his house when he went outside.  He saw no shadow and all the people were very happy that spring was coming soon to Canada.  He was happy too!
