Imagine a School Open House

Can you imagine what happens in the classrooms at Millgrove School?

What do our students and staff imagine could happen in Millgrove School classrooms?

"If you can Imagine a place you can go there"

Come Imagine - Come See - Come In

To visit our classrooms in the 21st Century.

Our School is rich in literacy, numeracy, active citizenship and technology.

April 2010 Millgrove staff and students welcomed families to our

Imagine A School OPEN HOUSE.

During our Open House, classrooms showcased Literacy, Math, and Technology. Can you imagine any better way to learn about Millgrove School?

Displays throughout the school helped visitors to "IMAGINE" what happens in a typical day at Millgrove School.

To complete our Open House, Millgrove's talented Choir and Orff Club performed in the gym.

"Imagine a place where getting there is worth whatever it takes."

The Best of 21st Century Learning

April 2009 brought Millgrove Parents to our open house to learn that Millgrove Students are using words like...SMART Showcase school, SMART Document Camera, SMART slates, Senteos, Frontrow sound systems, Elmo Document Camera, Video Conferencing, Tumblebooks, Balanced Literature, Power of Ten, Laptops, AlphaSmarts, Virtual Field trips, Read and Write Gold, SymWriter!

Millgrove Early Years School showcased how we infuse various technologies to support Literacy and Numeracy, while achieving specific curriculum goals.

"Things like student engagement can't be measured in traditional ways. What we're doing is giving students 21st-century skills they can use down the road. We're creating problem solvers and critical thinkers."  recipients of the SMARTer Kids Award, Kelli Holden and Brenda Stumbur

At the Open House guests were provided with a program for a mini presentation offered in classrooms, as well as the music room and library. This was a "hands on" Open House, where our guests became engaged learners. Millgrove Staff was available to discuss and demonstrate the wide variety of technologies used in the school.
